  SALHA MISSION STATEMENT – 2009
     SALHA Board Approved 6/09/2009
     The San Antonio Living History Association is an arts-based educational non-profit dedicated to development of artistic interpretive theatrical programs and productions for residents, students, and tourists. 
    Our goal is to promote better understanding of San Antonio's rich heritage using authentic skills and art of living history interpretative theater at schools, civic venues, and historic sites in San Antonio and Texas.
    Living history interpretative theater is an educational storytelling process that incorporates multiple art genre including theater, music, drama, dance, visual and apparel arts. The objectives of SALHA interpretive programs are to educate, engage, and entertain audiences while enhancing their historical experiences.
  BACKGROUND
     The San Antonio Living History Association (SALHA) is a non-profit corporation under IRS Section 501(c)(3). All SALHA contributions and dues are tax deductible. The all volunteer corporation has a Constitution, Bylaws and Event Liability Insurance for Members. SALHA annually promotes Heritage Tourism in San Antonio and has been recognized by the San Antonio City Council, the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Offices of Cultural Affairs as a community resource.
